SECTION 01
Responsible entity, platform and scope
This policy applies only to the Rillmark Dalefield Android application, package nz.org.dalefieldwatersupply.rillmark, version 1.0.0 (1). Dalefield Water Supply Society Incorporated is identified as the responsible organization for this app.
The policy does not govern a drinking-water supplier's operational systems, laboratory testing, public-authority websites, emergency services, a device's operating system, an app store, or any service a user reaches independently outside this app.
SECTION 02
Intended audience and household boundaries
Rillmark Dalefield is designed for adults, household decision-makers, property occupants, caregivers and community members seeking general water-stewardship and readiness education.
A responsible adult should make decisions for children or other household members who depend on them. The app does not create child profiles, private adult-child communication, household membership records or supervision services.
SECTION 03
App purpose and principal functions
The app provides an offline supply-story fieldbook, household water-use rooms, observation prompts, a safety-bounded handoff path, educational drinking-water notice explanations, a temporary reserve-water calculator, seasonal stewardship cards, source notes and this Privacy Basin.
It is not a live supplier portal, water-quality monitor, testing instrument, billing or connection system, infrastructure controller, repair manual, emergency alert service or substitute for current instructions from a drinking-water supplier or public authority.
SECTION 04
Data collected, transmitted and deliberately excluded
The app does not collect or transmit personal information to Dalefield Water Supply Society Incorporated, a developer server or an analytics provider. It has no backend and no Android Internet permission.
It does not request names, email addresses, phone numbers, property addresses, account or connection numbers, meter identifiers or readings, precise location, water-quality results, payment information, photographs, incident reports, health information or free-text notes.
SECTION 05
Temporary calculations and on-device preferences
The Reserve Shelf uses the household-size and duration values selected on the screen only to calculate a general baseline during the current app session. Those values are not written to a file, transmitted or associated with an identity.
The app may save a small interface preference, such as whether reduced motion is enabled, in Android private app storage. This preference is not a household record and is not sent off the device.
SECTION 06
Sensitive, property, youth and free-text records
Rillmark Dalefield is intentionally not a place to record a child's information, medical or disability information, contamination concerns, resident names, property vulnerabilities, infrastructure locations, access codes, valve or bore details, maintenance history or disputes.
There is no free-text entry, camera capture, document upload, voice recording, location pin, roster, incident log, messaging feature or hidden profile field.
SECTION 07
Permissions and device access
The release requests no Android Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, Bluetooth, nearby-device, notification, health, advertising-ID or shared-storage permission.
The app uses ordinary local display, touch and Android application-storage capabilities required to render its bundled content and remember the reduced-motion preference.
SECTION 08
Accounts, login and account deletion
The app has no account, login, password, membership authentication, cloud profile or server-side user record. It cannot create, change or cancel a water-supply account or society membership.
Account deletion is therefore not applicable to this app. Removing local app state is described in section 13.
SECTION 09
Advertising, analytics, tracking and third-party SDKs
Rillmark Dalefield contains no advertising, analytics, behavioural profiling, attribution, telemetry, tracking pixel, social SDK, remote configuration, crash-reporting SDK or third-party runtime network SDK.
The app does not use an advertising identifier, create a cross-app profile, measure engagement for marketing or sell access to an audience.
SECTION 10
Sharing, disclosure and sale
Because the app does not collect or transmit personal data, it does not share, disclose, rent or sell app-user personal data to the society, advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers or other organizations.
The app also does not publish household selections, notice choices, viewed cards or reserve calculations to other users.
SECTION 11
Network behaviour, source references and outside contact
All editorial images, guidance and source descriptions are bundled with the app. The Source Cabinet names public references for transparency but does not fetch them, open a WebView or check for updates.
The app has no contact form and does not send email or messages. Users seeking current operational information or wishing to contact another party must use a separately obtained, current channel outside the app; that outside service applies its own privacy terms.
SECTION 12
Retention
Reserve Shelf inputs, notice selections and interactive handoff choices exist only in active memory and are discarded when the app process is closed or the relevant control is reset.
The reduced-motion preference may remain in Android private app storage until the user changes it, clears the app's storage or uninstalls the app. No server copy exists.
SECTION 13
Deletion, reset, backup and device transfer
Users can reset temporary tools from their screens and can remove the saved interface preference by using Privacy Basin reset, clearing Rillmark Dalefield storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for this app. The app does not provide an export because it does not create a personal record or server account.
SECTION 14
Security measures and limits
Data minimisation is the principal safeguard: the app has no network permission, no backend, no credentials, no sensitive input fields and no third-party tracking code. Any saved preference is kept in the app's Android-private storage, and backup and device transfer are disabled.
No software or device is risk-free. Device access, operating-system compromise, screenshots taken by a device owner or modified app packages are outside the app's control. Users should protect their device and install updates from trusted sources.
SECTION 15
Children, families and safeguarding
The subject of household water can involve children, but the app is structured for adult and caregiver use. It does not knowingly collect information from children and provides no child-directed social, messaging, profile, location, advertising or purchase feature.
Adults remain responsible for supervising children around hot water, boiling vessels, stored-water containers, flooded areas, infrastructure, tools and any current advisory.
SECTION 16
Water, health, emergency and professional limitations
The app cannot determine whether water is safe, identify contamination, confirm whether a notice is active, diagnose illness, prescribe treatment, define ownership of a pipe or valve, or authorize access to infrastructure. Users must follow the exact current instruction from their drinking-water supplier and relevant public authorities.
Boil-water, do-not-drink and do-not-use notices have different meanings. Urgent illness, suspected contamination, flooding near electricity, major uncontrolled flow or immediate danger requires an appropriate current health, emergency, supplier or qualified-professional channel outside the app. Do not use the app to perform chemical treatment, electrical work, excavation, bore or pump access, pressure-system work or pipe repair.
SECTION 17
Policy changes and user choices
A later app release may update this policy if the app's behaviour, legal requirements or responsible contact changes. The effective date and version will be revised, and material changes should be reviewed before use.
Users may use the reading sections without saving a preference, enable or disable reduced motion, reset temporary tools, clear app storage or uninstall the app. Continued use of a later version is a choice to use that version under its displayed policy.
SECTION 18
Privacy contact
Privacy inquiries specifically about the Rillmark Dalefield Android app may be sent by post to: Dalefield Water Supply Society Incorporated, care of Findex, 1st Floor, 13 Camp Street, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand.
Do not send urgent water-safety, medical, emergency, infrastructure-failure or live-notice reports through a privacy inquiry. Use the appropriate current supplier, public-authority, health, emergency or qualified-professional channel.
